The goal of soldier swapping is to obtain more soldiers and GC through the swapping of soldiers while drafting than simply setting draft. Because Income and peons are calculated before drafting happens you can take advantage of our excess population size by holding soldiers for others.

Dystopia has a built in calculator for this. If you go to your state page ingame with Dystopia on it will PM you in discord the amount of soldiers that you must either take in OR send out; as well as the amount of trade balance you must clear in order to do it.

Should dystopia be down the manual calculation for this is:

(((MAXPOP X 1.15) + (PEONS X 0.1)) - TOTAL POP) -1

How Its Done

1. Everyone sets draft emergency + patriotism + LP.
2. Typically a high PPA province sets aid for the number of soldiers indicated.
3. Everyone else fills aid sending the indicated amount from dystopia.
4. One or more new holders will set aid for their indicated amount.
5. The holder will send out soldiers based on the amount from dystopia.
6. We all fill the new holders, sending the indicated amount of soldiers.

Now that we have over filled one or more provinces and opened up peon space on all the other provinces, we will gain 3% peons on every province and lose 10% on 1 or 2 provinces. Do not hold again for 3-4 tics to regain peons.

DO: CALL out in chat how many soldiers you are sending.

DO NOT: Go to sleep after taking in soldiers.
DO NOT: Go drastically below average PPA, we will balance MPA.
DO NOT: Take soldiers into tax – Send out runes or gold.
DO NOT: Send to unfilled aid requests from the previous tic.
